Kaely Shull, LAc, LCh, Dipl. OM, MSOM, ADS

I use Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and other complimentary modalities to address a wide variety of internal health concerns and orthopedic pain conditions for patients of all ages.  My approach to patient care incorporates gentle acupuncture techniques with compassion and a strong belief in patient education. Although I am qualified to treat most disorders and conditions, I am focused on family health, Orthopedic Pain disorders, and overall health from the inside out.

I have been fascinated with medicine and helping others since I was in elementary school. I spent my formative years dreaming of becoming a healthcare professional, I just didn’t know which route I wanted to go. While attending undergrad I spent a summer in Southwest China in the Yunnan Province where I underwent primary studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, focusing on community health in cities and rural communities. I was able to shadow doctors at the Yunnan Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Kunming, as well as study the medical traditions of minority communities of Yunnan, such as the Dongba Shamanic Medicine of the Naxi People in Lijiang and Tibetan Medicine in Zhongdian. My passion for Eastern Medicine was IGNITED during this time. Pictures of my trip to China

Education

I am NCCAOM Board Certified in Oriental Medicine (Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine) and I am licensed by the state of Colorado to practice Acupuncture and Chinese medicine.

I have a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder.  I also have Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and Japanese Language, Civilization, and Culture from the University of Colorado Boulder.

During my tenure at SWAC, I completed over 3000 program and 1200 clinical hours, served as Vice President of the Student Council, acted as the AAC Ambassador, and took specialized classes in Sports Acupuncture, Pediatric Acupuncture & Herbs, 5 Element Acupuncture, and traditional Asian medical massage.  I was awarded the Thaddeus Bukowski Scholarship for outstanding promise as a practitioner in the first year of school. I also had the wonderful opportunity to work with BCAP providing free treatments to those living with HIV and AIDS.

I am a certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist through NADA. Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, or ADS, is the professional certification for the use of the NADA Protocol in the fields of addiction, mental health, behavioral health and disaster relief. It is commonly called AcuDetox. I completed my certification in 2021.

I am currently completing rigorous coursework in pediatrics with a focus on Chinese Herbal therapy, acupuncture, and pediatric tuina to further my knowledge in treating children of all ages effectively and compassionately. As well as professional coursework in cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling to help my patients feel as good on the outside as the inside.
